Specific Need

The Bonham Theatre has been a gathering place for the community for nearly 100 years, and we want to ensure it stays welcoming and open for years to come. Funds raised will be used to replace our aging HVAC units, which are no longer reliable or efficient. New HVAC systems will help us maintain comfortable temperatures year-round, protect our historic building, and improve the experience for every audience member who walks through our doors. Your donation is an investment in the future of the Bonham Theatre, helping preserve a local landmark and ensuring that movies and shared moments can continue in comfort for the community.

Mission

The Bonham Theatre Project's mission is centered around providing a variety of movies, arts, and entertainment for the general public. Additionally, the project is committed to preserving a historically significant building that is listed on the National Register. In essence, the project operates a venue for the benefit of the public, offering a blend of entertainment and a chance to appreciate a preserved piece of history.

Profile

The non-profit Bonham Theatre Project organization owns and operates the theatre. The Bonham Theatre strives to bring the best that Hollywood has to offer to the citizens of the city of Fairbury and the surrounding community. To keep the doors open, the Bonham Theatre relies heavily on volunteers to assist with many aspects of the day to day operations.

We understand how much the Bonham Theatre means to so many people in our area, and all the great memories that have been made here over the years. The Bonham Theatre Project is proud of what has been accomplished with renovating and reopening the theatre. There is still much more that we wish to do to fully utilize this wonderful historic building. With the support of the community, the Bonham Theatre Project will continue to work on preserving this cultural and entertainment venue for generations to come.
