We are reaching out to share the impact your support makes—and to ask for your continued partnership in helping our youth overcome critical barriers to success.

Recently, we were able to provide funding that allowed young people in our program to continue their CNA classes, pay court-related fees with successful completion of probation, obtain driver’s licenses, and secure essential documents such as birth certificates. These may seem like small steps, but for our youth, they are life-changing milestones.

Many of the young people we serve are motivated and capable, yet face obstacles that most of us take for granted—legal fees that block employment, lack of identification that prevents enrollment in school or training, or transportation barriers that limit job opportunities. When these needs go unmet, progress can stall despite their best efforts.

Your donation helps remove these roadblocks and gives our youth a real chance to move forward with stability, confidence, and dignity. With continued support, we can ensure they stay on track toward education, employment, and long-term independence.

In July 2024, we expanded our impact by launching Thrive Services, a mentoring and support initiative designed for low-risk youth on probation or transitioning out of the juvenile justice system. Many CASA children experience repeated disruptions, including placement instability, frequent school changes, trauma, and unmet developmental needs. At the same time, we continue to see an increase in child welfare and juvenile cases across our communities.

Without early and intentional intervention, these youth are at high risk for continued trauma, academic failure, and deeper involvement in the justice system. The Thrive Program is designed to change that trajectory by connecting youth with consistent, trusted mentors who provide guidance, accountability, and encouragement during critical transition periods.

Thrive mentoring has been shown to reduce continued system involvement by addressing barriers before they become setbacks.Since 2024, we have seen the powerful impact of having a trusted adult mentor. Youth participating in the Thrive Program have experienced no repeat offenses, no probation sanctions, and several have earned early release from probation. Your support helps fund court-supportive mentoring services for youth in Jefferson County, giving them stability, hope, and a real opportunity to build a brighter future.
