Specific Need

In December, our beloved Whispering Acres suffered a devastating fire that left some of our property damaged and our community heartbroken. The small animal room was lost, including all of our small animals that called in home. Now, we’re coming together to rebuild — stronger, safer, and more vibrant than ever. To strengthen our animal-assisted learning and therapy programs, we will be welcoming more animals into our care, allowing us to reach more individuals and deepen the impact of our educational and therapeutic work.and gathering spaces that so many have called a second home. Every contribution, big or small, will help us bring life back to Whispering Acres and continue the mission of providing a place of peace, connection, and growth for all who visit. Together, we can turn this tragedy into a new beginning.

Whispering Acres was founded with a simple belief: that meaningful connections with animals can inspire healing, learning, and personal growth. What began as a small, family-run property rooted in compassion and respect for animals has grown into a dedicated space for animal-assisted learning and therapeutic experiences. Over time, Whispering Acres expanded its programs, and welcomed more animals, guided by a commitment to ethical care, education, and community well-being. Whispering Acres opened High Hopes Equine Assited Learning Center in 2020. Equine Assisted Learning uses meaningful, hands-on experiences with horses to help individuals build confidence, communication skills, and emotional understanding.Today, Whispering Acres continues to evolve while staying true to its original purpose—creating a safe, peaceful environment where people and animals learn and heal together.
